Ten Games I Want To Play!
21:12
I've always been a huge fan of gaming, but unfortunately I haven't had a lot of time to play any games for a while now. I've had some time to create a list of games I want to eventually play, so I've decided to share some of them!
1. Half Life Series [1998 / 2007] "Half-Life is a series of first-person shooter video games that share a single science fiction alternate history." Half Life is one of the most popular game series of all time, and is responsible for some of the more popular games today (Garry's Mod, Counterstrike etc). I think that it would be interesting to play the games, just so that I can understand what all of the fuss is about.
2. The Legend of Zelda [1986] "Set in the fantasy land of Hyrule, the plot centers on a boy named Link, the playable protagonist, who aims to collect the eight fragments of the Triforce of Wisdom in order to rescue Princess Zelda from the antagonist, Ganon." I'm a huge fan of the more recent Zelda games, but I've never had the chance to play some of the older games. I'd really loved to know where the series started and how far they've come since.
3. The Last of Us [2013] "The player controls Joel (voiced and motion-captured by Troy Baker) escorting the young Ellie (Ashley Johnson) across a post-apocalyptic United States. The player uses firearms, improvised weapons and stealth to defend against hostile humans and zombie-like creatures infected by a mutated strain of the Cordyceps fungus." I've watch numerous play-throughs of this game, and I absolutely loved watching it being played, so I'm sure I'd love playing it myself too.
4. Portal [2007] "The game primarily comprises a series of puzzles that must be solved by teleporting the player's character and simple objects using 'the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device', a device that can create inter-spatial portals between two flat planes." I already know how much I'll love this game, but for some reason I still haven't had the chance to play it.
5. Super Mario Kart [1997] "In Super Mario Kart the player takes control of one of eight Mario series characters, each with differing capabilities. In single player mode players can race against computer controlled characters in multi-race cups over three difficulty levels." I've always loved the Mario Kart series, so I think it would be interesting to see what sparked many people's interest in the series.
6. Silent Hill 2 [2004] "It centers on James Sunderland, who enters the town after receiving a letter written by his deceased wife, saying she is waiting for him in their 'special place' in Silent Hill." This is said to have one of the best game plots of all time, and although it's apparently quite scary, I'd like to try it out.
7. Final Fantasy VI and X [1994 and 2001] "Set in a fantasy world with a technology level equivalent to that of the Second Industrial Revolution, the game's story focuses on a group of rebels as they seek to overthrow an imperial dictatorship / The story is set in the fantasy world of Vana'diel, where player-created avatars can both compete and cooperate in a variety of objectives to develop an assortment of jobs, skills, and earn in-game item rewards." I don't currently own a Playstation, so I haven't had a chance to play any games from the Final Fantasy series, but when I do, I know I'll definitely play VI and X first, as they're two of the higher rated ones.
8. Skyrim [2011] "Skyrim's main story revolves around the player character's efforts to defeat Alduin, a Dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world." This game has been recommended to me so many times, and yet I still haven't played it. I don't even have an excuse.
9. Assassin's Creed Black Flag [2013] "The story is set in the early 18th century Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy, and follows notorious pirate Edward Kenway, grandfather of Assassin's Creed III protagonist Ratonhnhaké:ton, who stumbles upon the conflict waged by the Assassins and Templars." I've watched a few playthroughs of the Assassin's Creed Series and it seems really interesting. As this is one of their highest rated games, I think it would be a good choice to get myself into the series.
